Isabelle is 11 years old. She was born in Stockport but now lives in the New Mills area. Her Mum, Rosina, is a member of New Mills Original.

Isabelle works in a range of different media and styles and has recently been exploring tea painting. She was inspired whilst looking round a stall at a show.

She says, “The man had been to Africa and had painted pictures of things he’d seen there in tea. They were very expensive. I thought I could do it too! I kept having goes at it and making mistakes but I decided I really wanted to do it. After a few months I did a really good puffin and was going to save it for myself but then decided to give it as a present to Mum’s friend. I like 'adventuring', trying out different things like adding in coffee, or making it darker with Worcester Sauce or lighter with Chilli Powder. Mum encouraged me to experiment with different things. She told me you don’t have to make a picture look like the actual thing; it can be whatever you want, just try to draw it".
